Randy Jackson

Birth Place- Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Career and Personal Life- He is Grammy Award winning Bassist, Singer, Record Producer, Music manager and A&R executive. He is a judge for American Idol since its beginning as well as producer of another reality show ‘America’s Best Dance Crew’.
In 2003, he remained in news for losing his weight. He lost 100 pounds after Gastric Bypass surgery. He married twice, first to Elizabeth Jackson and then with Erika Riker. He has one kid from Elizabeth and two from Erika.
He is an amazing guy, who has worked really hard to reach where he is right now. His music career started in 1986, when he became member of a rock group “Journey”. After that he shifted to Italy, where he got his first record ‘Zuchhero and the Randy Jackson Band’ produced by Corrado Rustici, who played guitar with Randy in albums.
Randy was also a Bass guitarist for Tracy Chapman and featured on her 1992 track “Matters of the Heart”. He has worked with many popular bands and artists like, Mariah Carey, NSYNC, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Fergie and Madonna. As a session musician too he has worked with a range of Bands and artists. He also produced and wrote songs for Narada Michael Walden and Walter Afanasieff, which helped him to become a successful producer later.
Beside this, he also hosts a radio top 40 countdown “Randy Jackson’s Hit list”. This show is broadcasted weekly where he also discloses interesting “behind the scenes” about American Idol. He has also released an album in March this year named”Randy Jackson’s Music Club, Vol. 1”, before this he also released a single sung by Paula Abdul, “Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow”.
