American Idol TV Show

It was Tuesday. Rehearsal for the season 8 episodes of American Idol TV show was being followed through and a mishap occurred. Ultimately, the whole process was brought to an end. A stage manager suffered a serious injury while making arrangements to prepare the sets for the live show. The injured member of American Idol crew is named Debbie Williams, and she fell down from a flight of retractable stairs. The accident left her with a deep gash, down to the bone, and she was immediately sent to the hospital for treatment. The official statement released about the accident is “During rehearsal today, a crew member had a mishap on set and was immediately taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure. We have no further information at this time”.

In order to make matters worse, a large tower also fell over and the shattered pieces of glass were seen flying around the stage. It all happened two hours before the live telecast of the show, on the stage on which the host, Ryan Seacrest, walks.

As of now, the eighth season of American Idol is on air. Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson are serving as the judges and once again, Ryan Seacrest is hosting the show. The number of remaining contestants of this season is three, namely - Adam Lamber, Kris Allen and Danny Gokey.

Till the minute of the news, Top 4 got reduced to Top 3, after the round ‘Rock Music’, in which each of the contestants gave a solo performance, and a duet performance with another contestant. The performances were in the following manner:

1. Adam Lambert - “Whole Lotta Love”
2. Allison Iraheta - “Cry Baby”
3. Kris Allen & Danny Gokey - “Renegade”
4. Kris Allen - “Come Together”
5. Danny Gokey - “Dream On”
6. Allison Iraheta & Adam Lambert - “Slow Ride”

Allison Iraheta got eliminated in this round, reducing the no. of remaining contestants to three. The next round would of ‘Judge’s Choice/Contestant’s Choice’ in which the remaining contestants would have to sing two songs.

Though the mishap brought a little stop to things, but life has to continue on ‘American Idol’.
